Installation
The Smartsign Sync Client is installed on a separate computer and connects to a Smartsign On-premises Server or Cloud Service. It is typically installed on a server so that it can run 24/7.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10 or higher
- Microsoft .NET 4.8
Installation
- Download the Smartsign Sync Installer
- Start the installer and follow the instructions
- Smartsign Sync Wizard will launch once the installation is completed
- In the Server field, input your server (hostname only)
- EU Cloud service: eu.smartsigncloud.com
- AU Cloud service: au.smartsigncloud.com
- On-premises: Use the hostname or IP that your server is configured with
- Input your username, either your personal user or a user created specifically for synchronization (recommended). The user must have site admin access.
- Input your password
- If you have a proxy, click Proxy to configure settings for it (see separate section)
- Check the box if you wish to create a personal sync folder which you can connect to one or more screens
- Click Login when you are done.
- If everything is correct you should receive the below message.
- Done! You can now create Synchronized Folder data sources in Smartsign Publisher.
